Firdaus wins the Ciputra World Junior Golf Championship


Hills Golf Academy student, Zubair Firdaus played a magnificently for the week which allowed him to coast to victory in the World Junior Golf Championship Category B boys (under 16 years). Playing on the Damai Indah Golf Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Zubair shot a 72 hole total of 304 to beat Denwit from Thailand by 2 shots. With the greens running at an incredible 14 on the stimpmeter, the tournament was set up like a truly professional event and worthy of a junior World Championship. It was a tremendous victory and well deserved as Zubair really enjoyed the contest over the week. Zubair now joins Jason Day and Jovi Pangabean as Hills students who have won a World Junior title.
